Two Years to the Rugby World Cup 2019 - Match Schedule Unveiling
2017年11月02日 (木曜日)

RWCJoin the business community in Tokyo as we celebrate two years to Japan's hosting of the Rugby World Cup in 2019!

On 2 November, exactly two years before the tournament's final match, the match schedule for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan will be unveiled.  So far we know that the opening match is scheduled for 20 September 2019 at Ajinomoto Stadium in western Tokyo, and that the final is set to take place at the 70,000-seat Nissan Stadium in Yokohama.  20 teams from around the world and a total of 48 matches will be played in 12 venues across the whole of Japan.

This will be the first time the tournament is held in Asia and outside of the sport’s traditional strongholds, but the event organisers expect audiences to fill up the stadiums.

The event will feature a discussion on the topic What the Rugby World Cup means for business in Japan with a panel made up of:

1. Alan Gilpin – World Rugby COO and Head of Rugby World Cup
2. Rob Abernethy - General Manager - Rugby World Cup 2019 at World Rugby
3. Third panellist TBA shortly
